Elizabeth Day, President of the Community Foundation of Frederick County, shared highlights from the recently released Frederick County Human Needs Assessment Report. She indicated that the report identified three key areas that require attention:
- Health
- Youth
- Basic Human Needs
From a shortage of rental housing, lack of affordable health care, youth services, and basic human needs, she opened our eyes to the most pressing issues within our own community. The information collected will help local businesses, government, and non-profit organizations focus their efforts on what is most needed. She covered a summary of the 130 page report which is available by visiting http://www.cffredco.org/impact/needsreport. She urged each one of us to, at a minimum, read the report and pick one item and make an impact.
