Rotarians help with yard work at the Visitation Academy!

Posted in: Community Service

On Saturday, September 7, 2013, about 25 volunteers (Rotarians, family, friends, parents and children) enjoyed a beautiful and crisp morning while gathering at The Visitation Academy to help with yard work.

The Visitation Academy was founded in 1846, offers PreK-3 to 8th grade education to young girls, and welcomes students of all denominations.

Thanks to Rotarians and family for their cheerful participation, namely Norm Birzer, Chris and Angela Chase, Bernard Gouin, Jean-Louis Lepage, Michelle Leveque, Chris Limparis, Helen and Jim Maleady, Tee Michel, Jean Peterson, Hilda Staples.

Special kudos to Michelle Leveque for leading this fun hands on project!

Below are pictures of the volunteers in this beautiful, unique, and historic courtyard located in downtown Frederick, as well as some of the charming thank you notes from the children of the Visitation Academy.
