Qualifications
A prospective member must:
- Hold, or be retired from, a professional, proprietary, or managerial position with discretionary authority for time and resources.
- Have the capacity to meet the club’s weekly attendance requirement (50% minimum requirement). Members may make up missed meetings at any Rotary Club around the world, Rotaract or Interact club, Rotary Community Corps, Rotary Fellowship, or E-Club website.
- Meet all financial requirements including local, district and international dues, fees, mandatory fundraisers, and other fundraising and projects.
- Live or work within the locality of the club or surrounding area.
- Have a high professional reputation, good character and stability of position.
- Have an established history of volunteer service.
Process
- Inquire through a current member about your interest in joining RCCC.
- Attend at least two meetings.
- Ask a current member to be your sponsor. Members must have completed their BADGE qualifications before they can sponsor new members.
- Complete and submit application, provided by sponsor, with two letters of recommendation and a short bio.
- Your sponsor will set up an interview with several committee members. The interview acts as a verbal extension of your application.
- The club’s board of directors will approve or deny your application.
- Club members get access to your application through our community board. Any club member can deny your application during this time.
- Upon final approval, your sponsor will schedule an induction into RCCC!
BADGE (New Member Checklist)
Within the first six months of your membership, all Rotarians must:
- Complete orientation.
- Choose a job classification.
- Sign up for a committee.
- Participate in one hands-on project.
- Sign up to be a greeter.
- Contact RCCC secretary for information on how to complete your online profile.

- Participate in local community service to experience the fulfillment of giving back.
- Gain an understanding of international humanitarian issues through international service projects and exchange programs.
- Experience camaraderie and friendship with like-minded professionals.
- Socialize with fellow Rotarians at local events, conventions, and conferences.

Responsibilities of Membership
- Attend weekly meetings of the RCCC. Meetings are held every Wednesday from 7:15AM to 8:30AM at the main hall of All Saints Episcopal Church located at 106 W. Church Street, Frederick, Md. 21701.
- Commit to active participation in assigned committee within the Avenues of Service: Club Service, Vocational Service, Community Service, International Service and New Generations Service.
- Actively participate in local and international activities or projects.
- Adhere to the Rotary 4 Way Test.
- Commit to fiduciary requirements of club membership.
- Contribute to The Rotary Foundation.
- Prepare and give a short classification talk to the Club.
