February 01, 2010 Fifth Annual Bikes for the World Event! Do you have an old bike gathering dust in your basement, shed or garage? If so, bring that old bike to McCurdy Field on 3/27 from 9AM to 1PM where Bikes for the World will collect that bike and send it to a partner organization in a developing country. In many parts of the world, these bikes become both a valuable means of transportation and a means for local economic development. And it means one less thing going into our local landfill. A donation of $10 per bike is required to help defray the cost of overseas shipping. The cash donation and value of the bike may be tax deductible. << Back to news |
