Local Community Projects

The Rotary Club of Carroll Creek stands as a steadfast pillar of service and dedication, woven intricately into the fabric of the local Frederick community. With an unwavering commitment to making a positive impact, our club tirelessly works towards fostering the growth, prosperity, and well-being of this vibrant region we call home. Guided by the principles of Rotary International, we channel our collective energy, resources, and passion into a diverse range of projects and initiatives, focusing on education, healthcare, environmental sustainability, and the betterment of those in need. RECENT PROJECTS

FLAG RAISING

On Memorial Day, Independence Day, and Veterans’ Day, RCCC raises over 100 flags in downtown Frederick to recognize, remember, and honor those who have served and are serving our country. This project, which is known for our awesome Flaggin’ Wagon transporting the flags around town, engages Rotarians and family members for set up and take down. We are honored to be a part of our community’s recognition of local heros.

SANTA DAY WITH LUCAS VILLAGE

Each December, RCCC partners with Lucas Village to offer a ‘reverse’ Santa opportunity for the youth living in this community. After receiving donations, RCCC provides gifts that the youth can select for their parents and caretakers. We help them wrap their selected gifts, visit with Santa, enjoy hot cocoa and games, and more. We love seeing the joy on the youth’s faces as they are thrilled to give and appreciate those they love.  We are proud partner of the PAL Center located off of Rotary Alley in Lucas Village.

HONOR OUR OFFICERS

RCCC is home to the Officer of the Month Awards in collaboration with the Frederick Police Department. Each quarter, we come together to recognize the last several months of awards, acknowledge their efforts, and to celebrate their commitment to the safety of our community. Each Spring, we also recognize the Stewart Alcorn Officer of the Year Award. Most recently, Officer Jonathan “Muzzy” Moczydlowsky was named Police Officer of the Year.

“Rotarians are very much more favorably disposed toward action than they are toward words.”
