RECENT PROJECTS
BIKES FOR THE WORLD
Recognizing the immense impact that a simple bicycle can have on individuals and communities, the Rotary Club of Carroll Creek has forged a meaningful partnership with Bikes for the World and other Rotary Clubs in Africa and the Philippines to amplify their efforts and create a lasting positive change. Bikes for the World collects and refurbishes bicycles, which are then distributed to individuals in developing countries, enabling them to access education, healthcare, employment opportunities, and more. To date, RCCC has collected over 6500 bicycles.
CAMBODIA READS
RCCC supports Cambodia Reads due to its unwavering commitment to improving literacy rates and educational opportunities in Cambodia. Recognizing the transformative power of education, the Rotary Club aligns with Cambodia Reads’ mission to empower individuals and communities through literacy initiatives. By fostering a strong partnership, the Rotary Club of Carroll Creek and Cambodia Reads aim to create sustainable change, enabling children and adults alike to acquire vital literacy skills, expand their knowledge, and ultimately build brighter futures.
WATER IN HONDURAS
Recognizing the dire need for clean and accessible water sources in various regions of Honduras, the Rotary Club saw a profound opportunity to collaborate with Honduras Compassion Partners, an esteemed nonprofit organization dedicated to uplifting vulnerable communities. Through their tireless efforts, HCP works on implementing sustainable water projects, constructing wells, and providing education on proper hygiene practices, ensuring long-term solutions that empower Honduran communities to thrive. RCCC Members will be visiting this project in Fall 2023.
